Having celebrated her ten-year relationship with Naïve last year, 25 year-old French pianist Lise de la Salle releases her eighth recording on the label, an all-Schumann album, featuring Kinderszenen (Scenes from Childhood), the ‘Abegg’ Variations, Op. 1, and Fantasy in C Major, Op. 17.
Her previous release of solo Liszt received a Gramophone Editor’s Choice, a Diapason d’Or, and described by International Record Review as “world class playing”. Lise de la Salle is regularly invited to perform with great international orchestras including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic and Philharmonia.
Pianist has interviewed Lise de la Salle in past issues for the magazine and will review the CD in an upcoming issue.
