Incomparable piano superstar, Lang Lang and stellar violinist, Maxim Vengerov, join forces in a stunning new arrangement of ‘Man of Steel’ to celebrate legendary film composer, Hans Zimmer.
The brand–new, eagerly-anticipated album, ‘Hans Zimmer – The Classics’, was recently released and features a host of leading musicians of the day in a vivid collection of back-to-back blockbuster hits and stunning new arrangements of some of Hollywood’s greatest ever movie themes, written by one of the world’s most innovative musical talents, Hans Zimmer. Other featured artists include internet sensations, The Piano Guys; cellos wizards, 2Cellos and Tina Guo; the stupendous vocal talent of Leona Lewis; Classic BRIT Award-winning saxophonist, Amy Dickson and many more.
This mighty collection of classics from one of the most in-demand composers in Hollywood highlights Zimmer’s musical versatility and absolute mastery of the genre, showcasing newly-arranged key themes from such magnificent scores as The Dark Knight Rises; Interstellar; Pirates of the Caribbean; Gladiator; Man of Steel; The Lion King; Inception and many more –an absolute must for Zimmer’s legions of fans around the world.
Hans Zimmer has scored more than 120 films, which have collectively grossed over 24 billion dollars at the worldwide box office. His Academy award-winning score to The Lion King has sold over 15 million copies since release in the early 90s. He has been honoured with an Academy Award, two Golden Globes, four Grammys and many more awards and nominations including the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award in Film Composition from the National Board of Review and ASCAP’s Henry Mancini Award for Lifetime Achievement plus and a Classic BRIT Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music. Spring 2016 saw his first-ever European tour featuring his band, orchestra, choir and soloists and he tours again in 2017.
