What's in this Download?
In his lifetime, the Italian composer Domenico Scarlatti wrote over 555 keyboard sonatas. They were intended to be played on the instruments of the day, which include harpsichord, clavichord and fortepiano.
Playing tips: It’s obvious that the trills will need some serious work. See how we’ve suggested two types of fingering right at the start. The runs and arpeggios will need clear and detached articulation.
Pedal tips: Composers of Scarlatti’s time did not indicate pedalling; we suggest dabs here and there in order to add resonance when needed.
