The composer was probably an American pianist at the turn of the last century: if any Pianist reader knows more about them, please let us know! At any rate, Goddard is remembered (as a composer) only for this Nocturne, which is written in the high-Romantic style, disclosing an enviably fluid technique on the part of its author, and no small degree of ingenuity.
