This Sarabande was rearranged by Carl Reinecke to accommodate the violin melody in the RH and the harpsichord part spread across both hands. He left it alone otherwise, and the melody should retain a certain, stately purity of expression from the original, as well as the seamless legato you’d expect to hear from bow on string.
