What's in this Download?
Scriabin, Rachmaninov and Gretchaninov were among his students. This hypnotic Prelude, almost minimalist in style, comes from his 12 Preludes Op 63.
Playing tips: Make sure to revel in the subtle harmonic changes that weave their way through the piece. In order to maintain a calm ‘gliding’ effect, you will need good articulation and an even control of all fingers. The inner semiquaver notes should ripple under the RH melody line.
Pedal tips: See markings on the score.
