Peregrine’s Pianos goes to Germany – join Peregrine’s Pianos staff for a one day visit to Braunchsweig, Germany, in order to wander around the Schimmel factory, try the pianos and ask all the questions you want
...
Peregrine’s Pianos is a supplier of quality instruments and is the exclusive London dealer for Schimmel pianos. In an effort to demonstrate the finer qualities of these instruments, Peregrine’s Pianos has come up with a unique idea. The company are inviting up to twenty interested guests to join the staff for a one day visit to Braunchsweig, Germany, in order to wander around the factory, try the pianos and ask the questions they’ve always wanted to ask. Peregrine’s Pianos, established in September 2010, has now seen nearly two and a half years of highly successful trading. The business supplies top quality pianos for sale, offers a comprehensive domestic and concert piano hire service and provides high quality music studios for the profession.
Schimmel pianos is the largest volume German piano manufacturer; it was founded in Leipzig in 1885. The present modern factory is close to the centre of Braunschweig and is purpose built. It takes the form of numerous work areas dedicated to specific parts of the process - frame and soundboard manufacture, casework, key making, piano stringing, action alignment, silent piano installation, final assembly and finishing.
When is the trip? By generous agreement with the factory in Braunschweig (pictured) Peregrine’s Pianos are arranging the visit on Wednesday 24th April 2013. The day is arranged exclusively for customers and partners: it includes departure from London, Heathrow at 8am, coach transfer to the factory in Braunschweig and return to Heathrow for 9pm.
What to expect At the factory guests will be introduced to senior staff at Schimmel Pianos and entertained to a factory lunch. The visit will also include talks from the management team, an extended tour of all parts of the factory and opportunity to try pianos in the 'selection room'. To conclude the visit a short tour of the old city and a group meal in Braunschweig has been arranged. Guests are asked for a nominal charge of two hundred and fifty pounds per person to include all items listed in the itinerary, and Peregrine’s Pianos will discount this against the subsequent purchase of a Schimmel Piano.
