Classic FM has teamed up with ABRSM for the Music Teacher of the Year Awards, which aims to recognise and reward music teachers who have made a real difference to the musical lives of young people. Find out how you can nominate YOUR teacher below

The Music Teacher of the Year Awards hosted by Classic FM and ABRSM has returned for 2023! The winning teachers are set to receive an amazing £3,000 to spend on musical instruments and equipment of their choice for their school.
These prestigious awards give you the chance to nominate an outstanding music teacher, and explain why they deserve to be named the Music Teacher of the Year. Your chosen teacher must fall into one of five categories:
1) Teachers of primary school age
2) Teachers of secondary school age
3) SEND music teachers
4) Visiting music teachers
5) Best music learning initiative
Once all the submissions are in, a panel of expert industry judges will select a winner from the first four categories, and draw up a shortlist for the fifth category, which will go to a public vote.
