Alisdair talks about specific techniques required in playing music from the Baroque period, including how to practise embellishments (trills, mordents), counterpoint, scales and arpeggios.
Techniques for Classical playing, 18 Nov 7pm - 8pm
Alisdair talks about techniques specific to the Classical period with a focus on how to practise Alberti bass, scales, long trills, triadic arpeggios and chord voicing.
Techniques for Romantic playing, 2 Dec 7pm - 8pm
Alisdair talks about key techniques required for the Romantic period, focusing on large chords, extensions, stamina, octaves and how to practise mixing techniques within the style.
