Inspirational youngster goes viral
A 6-year-old boy has taken social media by storm with his incredible piano performance of Bohemian Rhapsody by legendary rock band Queen.
Avett Ray Maness, from Ohio, USA, has been blind since birth and has taught himself piano completely by ear. The talented youngster was born with Optic Nerve Hypoplasia. He is completely blind in one eye but has a small amount of vision in the other, which make his story even more inspiring.
Talking to CBS News, Avett's mother said, "Music is in his body. He's really practising on performing now. Since his talent is so amazing, people are asking him to perform."
Amazingly, this isn't the first time that Avett's piano playing has gone viral. He first gained attention when he asked his mother to send his covers to singer Adele, his favourite artist. Thousands of people online were captivated by him, so much so that the story was even picked up by local radio stations.
Avett now has a piano teacher who helps him learn new piano techniques and classical pieces. Hopefully, we'll be seeing plenty more of him in the future!
