The Finals of the world-renowned competition will take place from 11-21 September 2024 in Leeds and Bradford
The Leeds International Piano Competition has announced its 65 competitors for this year's edition.
The competitors will represent 18 countries between them, including Australia (1), Austria (1), Canada (3), China (19), Croatia (1), France (2), Germany (1), Hungary (1), Italy (2), Japan (5), Russia (6), Slovenia (1), Spain (2), South Korea (12), Taiwan (2), UK (2), USA (3) and Vietnam (1).

The triennial competition has launched the careers of many pianists in the past. Former winners and runners up include Radu Lupu, Murray Perahia, Anna Tsybuleva, Mitsuko Uchida (2nd Prize), Sir András Schiff (3rd Prize), Lars Vogt (2nd Prize) and last year's winner Alim Beisembayev.
For this year's competition, the Second Round (11-13 Sept) and Semi Finals (15-17 Sept) will be held at the University of Leeds Great Hall, while the Concerto Finals (20-21 Sept) will take place at Bradford's St George's Hall. The usual Finals venue, Leeds Town Hall, will be under construction in September and therefore cannot host.
