Edward Chilvers In Concert

Outstanding pianist and groundbreaking composer Edward Chilvers will be performing at the Jacqueline du Pre Music Building ,Oxford, on Friday October 26th (7.30-10pm). The first half of the concert will focus on Edward’s structured piano improvisations, set around unprecedentedly complex polyrhythmic patterns and tonal systems. The music is designed and intended to unravel the mind and bring the listener deeply into the present moment, at times gently, at times fiercely. The work is an extension and development of his '12 Etudes' (International Piano review, 5*) The second half of the concert will be more playful, with Edward creating extended variations based on requests given by the audience during the interval. The audience suggestions and the resultant variations may be polyrhythmic, bluesy, classical, or any style - Edward will play whatever looks the most fun! International
