Yamaha NU1X

Featuring the same action found in Yamaha acoustic upright pianos and a refined compact design, the new NU1X delivers a truly authentic piano playing experience that is almost indistinguishable from that of an acoustic upright.

The NU1X features the sparkling treble and full-bodied bass of one of the finest instruments that Yamaha has ever made, the CFX concert grand. Using acoustic technology unique to Yamaha, it reproduces the characteristic resonance felt when playing an acoustic instrument. Also found within NU1X, one of the most iconic and historic grand pianos: the Bösendorfer Imperial. The sonorous tones and rich resonance are portrayed in part due to Yamaha’s exclusive VRM technology. The NU1X is able to understand every nuance of damper and string, allowing it to recreate even the subtlest resonance in real time.

The NU1X also offers an exceptional playing experience through headphones. Using Yamaha’s binaural sampling techniques, the CFX has been captured in a way specifically designed for headphone playback. The resulting sound, which appears to emanate from the body of the piano, leads you close to forgetting you are playing with headphones at all!

The NU1X also features a damper pedal similar to that of a grand’s resistance curve – starting out light and growing heavier – allowing the player to recreate the detail of delicate pedalling experienced when playing an acoustic piano.

Audio recording, Bluetooth Audio streaming, a total of 15 voices and numerous other features enhance the unique playing experience of the Yamaha AvantGrand NU1X.
