Bruce is the Oct/Nov cover star for Pianist! To celebrate, we thought we'd look back at his remarkable win in Warsaw, from Round 1 to the very end...
Back in early 2021, Bruce Liu was studying at the Université de Montréal in his native Canada under the tutelage of Dang Thai Son.
By the end of the year, he was crowned winner of the prestigious Chopin International Piano Competition - a competition that his teacher had won 41 years prior.
Written in the stars? Perhaps it was.
Flash forward to today, and Bruce Liu graces the cover of the Oct/Nov 2023 issue of Pianist with the whole world at his feet. Below, we take a look back at his remarkable journey through the Chopin Competition.
